10 Days

It's a deep dive, and you're invited!

September 29 — October 9, 2019

Why would anyone do anything for 10 Days? Can’t we just have one really good prayer gathering on a Friday night? That’s what some have asked since the founding of 10 Days in 2004, but here are five answers to that question that might inspire you to join us!

It’s an extravagant sacrifice to the Lord

Our schedules are full, but God calls His people to take special seasons to seek Him: “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart (Jer. 29:13). The writer of Hebrews adds, “Let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God” (Heb. 13:15). It’s time to step out in faith, sacrifice our typical routine, and seek God with all our hearts!

It’s a special season to humble ourselves before God

Babylon, the queen of the world system, refuses to mourn (Rev. 18:7), but as Christ followers we need to see and experience the value of getting low before the Lord through fasting, mourning, and repentance. This humble posture is good for the soul (Matt. 5:4); commanded when a culture finds itself in love with the world (James 4:10), and is vital if we want to see God move in our midst (2 Chron. 7:14).

It’s an important step to seeing the body of Christ unified

We have yet to see the full answer to Jesus’ prayer, “I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity (John 17:23). Any time Christians come together to humbly seek the Lord, hearts are connected, and God is glorified (Psa. 133:1–3; Acts 1:14).

It’s about longing for the Lord’s return

Although Babylon refuses to mourn (Rev. 18:7), Christians are called to mourn over what we have lost and what we lack. But when Jesus returns, everything will be restored and we will lack nothing! Paul reminds us that there is a crown of righteousness waiting for everyone who longs for Jesus’ return (2 Tim. 4:8).

It’s about seeing entire cities stop to seek God’s face

The vision of 10 Days is to see entire cities halting their activities to worship God. Wouldn’t that be awesome?! This September 29—October 9 is an important step to see this ultimate vision take place. For more information about 10 Days and its founder, Jonathan Friz, click here.

Prayer locations are hosted by a group of local churches and families. See below for a complete list of times and locations.

I hAVE A QUESTION

  • Question: Can I bring my children?

    • Answer: Children are welcome provided their behavior is not distracting. We cannot offer child care.
  • Question: What if I cannot cannot attend all 10 days?

    • Answer: Come for as many of the prayer gatherings as you can. On the days you are unable to attend, designate some time to seek the Lord privately when it works for you.
  • Question: What if I can't be at the meeting the whole time?

    • Answer: Don't worry if you need to arrive late or leave early.
