Effective prayer often begins with an utter dissatisfaction with the status quo and a healthy jealousy for the glory of God. Further, it has been well-documented that through corporate prayer often crime decreases, vitality comes to the church, spiritual darkness is pushed back, the lost come to faith, and the presence of the living God makes a dramatic difference throughout the culture.
In our nation’s present spiritual condition, it is vital that Christians seek the Lord wholeheartedly by going to God in persistent Spirit-empowered prayer! Will you start a prayer group that addresses your community and church, as well as our nation?

If you want to launch a prayer gathering, connect with one or two others that carry a similar burden for our nation and the glory of God, and ask God what He is calling you to do. Here are some important questions to ask:
Is this prayer gathering for our local church or for a broader community of local believers?
Will we meet daily, weekly, monthly or implement some other pattern?
Will we have set starting and ending times, or leave the meeting open-ended?
