The Way Forward

- Our Message -

FOA was birthed with the understanding that God has a “now” message for every nation, and it is vital that this message is proclaimed to as many people as possible. We believe this “now” message for America is rooted in a timeless principle expressed in the book of Jeremiah:

At one moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to uproot, to pull down, or to destroy it; if that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the calamity I planned to bring on it. Or at another moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to build up or to plant it; if it does evil in My sight by not obeying My voice, then I will think better of the good with which I had promised to bless it (Jeremiah 18:7-10, NASB, emphasis added).

As a nation, we have drifted from hearing and obeying God’s voice and have increasingly chosen to do evil in God’s sight. Consequently, we should be concerned that God is currently rethinking “the good” with which He has promised to bless us if we were a people faithful to His will and ways.

To those who are faithful, God is calling Christians everywhere to minister in the same power displayed by first century Christians, such as the account of Philip in Acts chapter eight. Empowered by the Holy Spirit in the face of great adversity, Philip and the Samaritan church boldly proclaimed the kingdom of God, broke the enemy’s bondages, and saw multitudes come to faith.

Since the inception of Forerunners of America, staff and volunteers have proclaimed ­this message throughout America in churches, colleges, national ministries, and home groups. Through conferences, books, teaching curriculum, articles, blogs, and videos, we are doing our best to spread this message of warning and of hope!

- Our Vision -

We believe that great national challenges are coming. While this might be unsettling to some, our vision is to see a growing network of people who will take responsibility for warning others about our nation’s trajectory and then to help them respond in faith. Indeed, we believe that God will use national trouble to draw people back to Himself. As such, we are exhorting Christians to prepare today for what may be the greatest spiritual harvest our nation has seen in generations … possibly ever! Our vision is to see Christians challenged, trained, and equipped to be dramatically more fruitful and impactful throughout our culture.

- Our Passion -

Forerunners began in relationship, and we believe relationships are key to seeing meaningful change during both relatively stable times and during national difficulty. With this in mind, we provide exhortation and useful resources to help motivate and equip individuals and groups to have life-changing conversations with family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. We emphasize influencing those within our natural spheres of influence by speaking into the issues about which they are already talking.

- Where We Unite -

Forerunners is the result of passionate people coming together with the conviction that, with God’s help, all things are possible. We each have a role to play, and we believe that, even during difficult times, this can be our finest hour. Because this looks different for each one of us, we offer a variety of tools to assist in whatever the Lord may be calling people to do:

- For those who wish to educate themselves, we offer videos, articles, blogs, papers, and books addressing a variety of topics.

- For those who are eager to share with others God’s heart for our nation, we provide tools designed to guide these conversations and even offer discussion-oriented Bible studies.

- For those who are willing to connect people but prefer not to do the talking, a Forerunners staff member can come speak in your home or church.

- And for those who are unsure of where to begin but desire help, we provide personal input through a Forerunners staff member.
