Our Story

Forerunners’ founder, Dave Warn, felt a burden for America shortly after coming to faith in Christ as a college student in 1983. But it was in July 2011, while at a prayer retreat, that his burden went much deeper. During this getaway, the Lord touched Dave in a life-changing way, impressing upon him that our nation had “crossed a line”—meaning that national judgment and a national humbling would likely come upon America.

While still processing these sobering possibilities, God stirred Dave with the hope that He would move powerfully again and potentially reap a massive harvest in America—meaning that people would turn to the Lord on a scale we may have never before seen. Capturing both the ideas of a coming national shaking and an extensive spiritual awakening, Forerunners of America was launched on September 4, 2014 with the heartbeat of warning the nation and of helping people respond in faith.
