I have two ambitions in life: to warn the body of Christ about activities that are being embraced in our culture that are proven to provoke God’s judgment, and to see the body of Christ experience dramatically more fruit. Everything I do revolves around this two-fold mission . . . and I love it! …Read More
Leadership matters to God! In the Bible, when God wanted to speak to a nation, to direct its course, to call it to repentance, or even to announce judgment upon it, who did He talk to? Who did He send the prophets to confront? That’s right — the kings. The leaders. And the way the leaders went, the people mostly followed, at least for a generation.Read More
ARE YOU A PERSON OF CONVICTION?
Cultural influencers are people who are convinced. Martin Luther King Jr. was convinced that the challenges of African Americans could be changed through nonviolence and civil disobedience. Hudson Taylor, founder of the China Inland Mission, was convinced that the good news of Jesus Christ needed to get to the remotest parts of the earth. Alexander…
DOES GOD JUDGE NATIONS FOR SPECIFIC SINS?
God responds to a nation’s faithfulness to Him (Jer. 18:7–10). Unfortunately, this often necessitates judgment. Scripture is filled with examples of specific deeds that have invoked God’s judgment upon nations.
IN WHAT WAYS IS AMERICA HELPING TO DRAW PEOPLE BACK TO GOD?
If God’s purpose for nations is to draw people back to Himself, then it can be said that America exists to draw people back to the Lord (Acts 17:24–28). How then is America fulfilling its purpose?
DOES GOD CARE ABOUT NATIONS TODAY?
If the gospel is global in scope, transcending all national boundaries, then does God still care about nations today? Do nations play a role in God’s redemptive purposes?
LET’S GET LOW BEFORE THE LORD
In Isaiah we find God yearning for the ancient Israelites to come back to Him when He states, “I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite” (Isaiah 57:15 NIV,…
LEADERSHIP THAT MATTERS

AMERICA IN THE BALANCE BIBLE STUDY
God has a purpose for nations in His redemptive plan, and He uses such things as a rising national debt, a gridlocked government, and deteriorating family structures to expose a nation’s spiritual waywardness.
CALLING ALL EVANGELISTS AND PROPHETS
Recently, I had two surprising conversations. In both cases, those whom I engaged were excited about President Trump’s accomplishments, such as: tax cuts, lower unemployment, the U.S. embassy in Israel moving to Jerusalem, and in addition to Neil Gorsuch’s appointment to the Supreme Court, the further possibility of the court moving in a more conservative…
WILL OUR EFFORTS CARRY THE DAY?
In addition to warning people about our nation’s trajectory (Jer. 18:7–10), God has called me to help Christians see much greater fruit (Acts 8:1–40). Indeed, “Enormous Fruit” was the title of my March 14 blog. However, recently I found myself getting off-track and experiencing less fruit. You might say I was becoming muddled in…
WHAT GOD TAUGHT ME AT A TRUMP RALLY
Linda Zebell, wife of Forerunners’ staff Timothy Zebell is today’s guest blogger, having written this in collaboration with her husband. Adrenaline flooded my body as I stood in line with my family. I was moments away from participating in a once-in-a-lifetime experience. All that stood between me and my destination was a metal detector…
