Why Spiritual Complacency?
Nations play an important role in God’s redemptive purposes as He uses them to draw people to Himself. When embraced by the culture, some sins make it nearly impossible to fulfill God’s national purposes. Left unaddressed, these sins will eventually provoke God to judgment. Spiritual Complacency of evil is one of these sins, making it something we must be capable of identifying and rejecting if we want our nation to experience God’s blessing and protection.

Like everything else in 2020, Christmas this year proved to be more eventful than expected for my family. While driving to my grandmother’s house, a plow truck ran us off the road and into an exceptionally deep, snow-filled ditch. One moment I was working to ensure our family arrived at my grandmother’s house on time so as not to be berated by my relatives for delaying Christmas dinner, and the next moment I found myself impossibly stuck in a car tilted to the side at a 60-degree angle….Read More

Why Contesting This Election Should Matter to Every Christian

What Gethsemane Teaches Us about the Election
Faced with the greatest decision of all time, Jesus fell to His knees in the Garden of Gethsemane and asked that His disciples likewise pray. Unfortunately, Jesus’ disciples did not feel the weight of the moment. Instead, they drifted into slumber—twice. Today the fate of humanity may not rest in the balance, but the fate of our nation very well may. We are 13 days from…
Should Christians Drop Out of Politics and Stop Fighting Culture Wars?
Someone might say, “Christians need to drop out of politics and the culture wars. Otherwise, our witness will be tainted, and that’s the biggest issue. Let us be known as being for Jesus instead of being against all these other things.” … For me, the bottom line is simple…
Something Must Change
Where are we as a nation when a pagan is giving greater voice to truth than our Christian leaders? And how is it that she managed to stand more firm in her beliefs when she came under fire for her boldness than what I often witness in the Christian community? Perhaps it is time we…
The Uprising Has Begun
Thousands descended upon Lansing, Michigan, circling the state capital in vehicles to protest Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s additional lockdown measures. By executive order Whitmer made it illegal to visit family, drive to a second home or cabin, and for stores to sell non-essential items, such as garden supplies. Yet she classified liquor stores, lottery tickets, and…
