Why Contesting This Election Should Matter to Every Christian

One week after the general election, we still do not know who our next president will be. Granted, the media has all but coronated Joe Biden, but with 80 electoral college votes across seven states in dispute, neither candidate is close to crossing the 270 vote threshold.^[1][2][3] In stark contrast to the majority of mainstream media reporting, the vote stands today with President Trump slightly leading with 232 electoral votes to Joe Biden’s 226 votes.^[4][5] It seems President Trump was correct when he predicted three months ago, “This is going to be the greatest election disaster in history.”^[6]

The president’s primary concern lay in the last-minute adoption of mail-in voting—something the New York Times affirmed in 2012:

There is a bipartisan consensus that voting by mail, whatever its impact, is more easily abused than other forms. In a 2005 report signed by President Jimmy Carter and James A. Baker III, who served as secretary of state under the first President George Bush, the Commission on Federal Election Reform concluded, “Absentee ballots remain the largest source of potential voter fraud.”

On the most basic level, absentee voting replaces the oversight that exists at polling places with something akin to an honor system.

“Absentee voting is to voting in person,” Judge Richard A. Posner of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit has written, “as a take-home exam is to a proctored one.”^[7]

Moreover, the president was concerned by the over 300 lawsuits introduced by Democrats prior to the election. These were designed to remove traditional election security checks and to permit officials to bypass state legislatures in transforming the election process—all in the name of COVID-19 and safety.^[8] Concerned about the prospect of widespread voter fraud, President Trump warned, “You won’t know the election result for weeks, months, maybe years after. Maybe you’ll never know the election result, and that’s what I’m concerned with. It’ll be fixed. It’ll be rigged. People ought to get smart. And I just hope our Republican voters, the people that are for you, are going to do what they have to do.”^[9]

Today, the president’s warning appears prescient. It should not come as a surprise to discover that he is alleging voter fraud in key battleground states, nor that he is challenging election results in court. And now Attorney General William Barr has authorized federal prosecutors to pursue “substantial allegations” of voting irregularities before the election is certified.^[10] To simply dismiss these charges because of a desire to unify around a victor would be foolish. More importantly, it would be immoral. Yet this is precisely what the mainstream media is exhorting us to do.

Our news media may have little interest in charges of election fraud, but God cares deeply about the integrity of the vote. According to Proverbs 20:23, “Unequal weights are an abomination to the Lord, and False scales are not good.” If we care about the things God cares about, then we must be concerned about the numerous charges of election fraud. Below is a sample of the alleged corruption largely ignored by our news media:

• A September 2020 Judicial Watch study found 1.8 million more registered voters in 353 U.S. counties than eligible voting-age citizens.^[11]

• Defense lawyer for President Trump’s legal team Sidney Powell told Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures, “We’ve identified over 450,000 ballots that miraculously only have a vote for Joe Biden on them and no other candidate.”^[12] This should be statistically impossible.^[13]

• Sidney Powell also told Lou Dobbs on Lou Dobbs Tonight that 3% of the digital early vote may have been changed using a Dominion software program called the Hammer and its accompanying application, Scorecard. The chief executive of the Dominion company is House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) chief of staff, a major shareholder is Senator Feinstein’s (D-CA) husband,^[14] a board member was President Obama’s ambassador to the United Emirates and is now on the Board of WarnerMedia and CNN,^[15] and the company has ties to the Clinton Global Initiative.^[16][17]

• A Dominion software “glitch” in the Michigan county of Antrim caused at least 6,000 Republican votes to be counted as Democrat.^[18] This software is used in 47 Michigan counties, including Oakland where another “technical glitch” caused the results from seven precincts to be counted twice. This swung the result from a Republican victory or a Democrat victory.^[19] (The Michigan Secretary of State website now says the first mistake was not due to a glitch but a failure to update the software.^[20])

• The Dominion technology glitch shut down voting for two hours in two Georgia counties on election morning. This software is used in 30 states, including all of the swing states.^[21]

• Postal workers in Michigan^[22][23] and Pennsylvania^[24][25][26] have testified that ballots are being backdated to make it appear that they had been collected on November 3, 2020. Project Veritas also secured undercover footage of a postal worker agreeing to pass along “a nice handful” of unclaimed ballots to the journalist.^[27]

• The number of votes cast for Joe Biden in Michigan and Georgia far exceed the number of votes cast for Democrat Senate candidates. Historically, the differential should be minimal—as was the case between Trump and Republican Senators. In Michigan, President Trump received 7,131 more votes than the Republican Senators while Joe Biden received 69,093 more votes than Democrat Senators. In Georgia, President Trump received 818 more votes while Joe Biden received 95,801 more votes. This is statistically improbable.^[28]

• Benford’s Law is a tool used by the State Department and forensic accountants to detect probable voter fraud. The IRS uses it to identify irregularities meriting a financial audit. Benford’s Law was used to determine voter fraud in the 2000 and 2004 U.S. elections. Any score below .05 is a statistically significant indicator of fraud. Joe Biden has received a score of .00000017 in Michigan, compared to President Trump’s score of .58.^[29] Benford’s Law indicates that voter fraud favoring Joe Biden likely also occurred in Chicago, Pittsburg, and Milwaukee.^[30]

• Joe Biden is leading President Trump in Georgia by about 10,000 votes, but as many as 132,000 cast ballots may be ineligible in Fulton County. These ballots have been flagged for change of address, indicating that the voters have likely moved.^[31]

• Ballots in Nevada cannot be observed for signature matches.^[32] The settings of machines used to verify 200,000 signatures were reduced to require only a 40% match. These machines also require a minimum of 200 dpi on images used, but Nevada is using images with considerably lower dpi, calling into question the machine’s ability to successfully analyze signatures.^[33] It is alleged that some voters received as many as 18 ballots.^[34] A witness alleges that ballots were opened, filled-in, and resealed in envelopes.^[35] And the Trump campaign has filed a lawsuit alleging that around 10,000 Nevada voters either live out of state or are deceased.^[36]

• Election workers cheered in Detroit when Republican poll watchers were removed,^[37] and windows were covered.^[38] In the absence of supervision, many irregularities have occurred in Michigan, including election workers reportedly being told to backdate ballots,^[39] Xerox copies of military votes being counted,^[40] omitting votes for President Trump,^[41] a screen shot showing seven out of eight voters with January 1, 1900 birthdays,^[42] routers and WiFi connectors used throughout the TCF Center during ballot counting,^[43] and much more.

Considering that this election is separated by around 125,000 votes out of 150 million cast—roughly .08% of the vote—and that this is spread out between five states, the above allegations of corruption could very well change the outcome of this election. Perhaps the most significant allegations of voter fraud stem from Pennsylvania, but this would require its own article to overview. Incredibly, much of the alleged corruption has gone unreported by the mainstream media and has been censored by Big Tech. Twitter even suspended the Gateway Pundit’s account for tweeting a graph showing how Joe Biden’s numbers do not match Benford’s law, labelling it “sexually explicit.”^[44] And Newsmax has reported that Judge Jeanine Pirro’s Fox show Justice was suspended for the weekend “because she made a very staunch defense of President Trump and wanted to expose the vote fraud that took place in the election.”^[45] We would do well to recall the supposed motto of the Washington Post: Democracy dies in the darkness.

Perhaps the allegations of voter fraud will prove to be unfounded. Unfortunately, we will never know if they are not investigated. There is nothing wrong with wanting to slow down and ensure the integrity of our election, and fighting for transparency is not divisive. It is a defense of truth.

Unequal weights are an abomination to the Lord (Prov. 20:23). This means that God hates unfair elections. However, it is not only those who cheat who make unfair elections possible. It is also those who refuse to stand for the truth and demand accountability. God’s heart is to fight for truth. If we care about the things God cares about, then we must care about the integrity of our election and demand accountability while it is still possible. Should we refuse, we have only ourselves to blame if corrupt elections become America’s “new normal.”
